  17. One obstacle at the moment is that the native versions use a very old
  18. linker (binutils 1.8.x) that doesn't do automatic compensation for
  19. endianess differences.  Work in progressing on updating to the latest
  20. binutils (I got the latest linker limping along just a couple days
  21. ago).  I believe there are versions of the old linker floating around
  22. that have been hacked too work in a cross environment, but I don't
  23. have the info for where to find them.  There may well be other
  24. problems that need to be resolved as well.  One of the things I'm
  25. commited to for the ADE is to provide cross compilers that run on
  26. linux and other hosts, and generate both m68k and PPC code for
  27. AmigaOS.  If you'd like to help on this project fetch the files from
  28. ftp.amigalib.com:pub/ade/... to see what the ADE is all about and get
  29. a lists of projects.
