- One obstacle at the moment is that the native versions use a very old
- linker (binutils 1.8.x) that doesn't do automatic compensation for
- endianess differences. Work in progressing on updating to the latest
- binutils (I got the latest linker limping along just a couple days
- ago). I believe there are versions of the old linker floating around
- that have been hacked too work in a cross environment, but I don't
- have the info for where to find them. There may well be other
- problems that need to be resolved as well. One of the things I'm
- commited to for the ADE is to provide cross compilers that run on
- linux and other hosts, and generate both m68k and PPC code for
- AmigaOS. If you'd like to help on this project fetch the files from
- ftp.amigalib.com:pub/ade/... to see what the ADE is all about and get
- a lists of projects.
